Volvo 290 Trim Gauge

Hi All,

I have the old style square trim gauge p/n 828731.

One of them is faulty, tested by swapping with port engine gauge, so deffo the gauge is at fault.

I can just buy one, but at over £200, seems a lot for what is a rarely used item and it is old and ugly.

So I wandered if any of you have ever replaced with a more modern looking simple analogue gauge - do any of you have the pin-outs / wiring diagram for it?

Or there is a more modern Volvo one that is round -anyone know if the connectors are the same for those?

Mine is analogue, round but just as expensive I'm on DP-D (or thereabouts) but I'd guess if the trim sender unit is the same they would work. (not 100% on that so double check)

Thanks Bruce, Coastal Rides have a couple of these, they are a bit cheaper, but in my view, look a whole lot better.

I’ve pinged them a note to see if the wiring / connectors are the same - I’ll let you know.

I’d be happy with just a simple analogue one, but not at all sure the wiring would work
