We had an immaculately clean bilges so any oil or fluid was an issue. I had a great engineer though so was kind of privileged - if I saw any oil or other fluids in the bilge I was going to be riding his butt and he knew I would. He was/is great engineer but owner wanted 'boat' run like a ship so...

I know its commercial but the basic radar observer course here in the US is 5 days. Although if the syllabus was updated 3 would be more than enough (that said it was worrying to see some 'professionals' ability).

I think it was 61M for 2 spans when I looked it up because when i last went through it seemed a lot narrower than that! But the smaller ones are around 30M I believe.

When I worked for the towing/ AAA battery compny here in the US they would have a bunch of stickers to put on batteries making them look like new... Not saying this is the case and this was regular batteries but worth considering?
