Mahogany and oak.3’6 x7’. Needs restoration,3 cracked ribs and some rot in the transom. Very pretty, ideal winter restoration job to compliment a classic boat. Bristol area but could deliver for fuel cost. £250. Just too heavy for me to use now.

Is creeping up on me.And moving about on my modest sailing boat is getting to be just a tad too much. But I don’t want to leave the world of boats and boating just yet. So I am contemplating buying a small coastal, non planing craft for pottering and sometimes overnighting in the Plymouth...

How far in a small boat

I am surprised that so little has been said on this thread about the benefits of cruising in company. I am sure that many novice skippers have been reassured by the proximity of other craft all going the same way ,,,,sort of...and I know from experience that other halves seem happier if...

    Forgen mounted straight to pushpit...thoughts?

I had the Forgen on the pulpit at first, but found that at low tide, when the boat sat on the mud below the quay wall, it was out of the wind.So I raised it with a length of aluminium tube, ex TV aeriel. Much better generation, and being up in the air,out of the way of accidental damage...
