When I can't get Japan drier I just add a bit of varnish instead, you want a traditional varnish like Le tonkois or "spar varnish", the modern polyurathane varnishes won't work, you don't need much, 1/10th the volume of oil maybe...
Nah, what could possibly go wrong....
Your spoiling other people's entertainment!
And in any case if it all go's pear-shaped, apparently it's not too expensive to get a boat trucked to Portimao, wasn't one of the steel boat owners in the yard looking into that recently?
Otherwise there is...
Let's just hope your local orca pod don't get bored of stress testing rudders, and decide to widen their investigations to include keel attachment integrity......
Don't know about Northern Cypress, but Polish registration seems to be the latest fashion in terms of EU flag of convince, just in case you're wondering why there suddenly seem to be a lot of Polish flagged boats about ??⛵.
Not for now, they have started requesting proof of a negative covid test for airline passengers in the last week, but no sign of restrictions for incoming boats so far. Customs took two weeks before they showed up to check my papers in the anchorage at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
You could also...
Also would have expected (near) hull speed from a 6hp.
Sounds more like a problem with your current setup rather than needing more HP.
Would start by checking you have the correct "high-thrust"/saildrive prop, if you don't there is a company "Solas" that sell aftermarket high-thrust props for...
Not I, but when I was walking around the dunes a month or so back I saw a couple of horses grazing. Presumably they belong to the local gypsy's, would that be good enough? :)
Failing that, I signed the petition......
Many of the boats Tom Colvin designed were Junk rigged as were most of the boats he designed/build for himself.
However he did convert the last one (a small cargo schooner) from Junk to Gaff, but apparently this was for improved cargo handling, I guess not a major consideration for most sailors...
The EPIRB should normally be registered with whichever authority issues your ships radio license which as far as I know is normally that of the country were the boat is registered (so yes, Australia in your case)...
However paying tax on a boat generally has little to do with where it is...
I'd second what Bajansailor said, for the boats (of a similar style) on the market at any one time, you'd be better focusing on the condition (recent engine/sails/standing rigging) and fit-out of the boat (upgraded solar/batteries/windvane/cockpit canopy etc.) rather than the exact design. If...
Kinda normal that there is a bit of confusion given the circumstances, and I guess foreign yachties are not the top priority for the authorities right now.
In general it seems that if incoming boats want to "stay" they are allowed to, but not allowed to go ashore or clear immigration until the...
Possibly Bruce is making up his own rules, but my money would be on the Port Capitain (making up the rules), it looks like they haven't had clear directives from above and are each deciding what to allow as they see fit (which probably won't come as a great shock to you).
If you go to noonsite...
