I think you are splitting hairs here, yes the bottom section is a tube where the walls are slightly thicker than the top section. You don't want to give the presumably inexperienced poster the idea that the the bottom section is solid aluminium. Yes, the laser mast bends backwards by adding a...
Think of a Laser dinghy where it has an unstayed and very flexible (bendy) mast. The laser works extremely well to windward. It's as others have stated, and is all about the centre of effort between the hull, mast position and centreboard. Get that right and she will go to windward.
I have installed this onto my boat and I can see position, speed, wind, depth, etc on open cpn using my laptop. Can anyone tell me if I will also be able to see this information using Navionics on my iPad?. If so how would I configure the iPad to do so please?.
Sorry, that is wrong. This is from the actual program itself = " Provides basic BRIB file overlay capabilities for several GRIB file types and a request function to get GRIB files by email" I am now at work and have just downloaded OpenCPN and enabled the GRIB plugin. It works fine on this...
Hi, hope you can help.
I cannot obtain an emailed GRIB data file as I keep getting the same error message which says that "File access is denied. You do not have permission required to access the file C;\ users\my name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook|my email address.ost
I have tried to share...
Thanks guys for your help on this. Its a real bugger.
The replacement band needs to be only 5mm wide as it locates in-under a lip on the top plates housing. Anything wider and it would not hold the seal in place. After sleeping on the problem I now realise that if this secondary band has...
Thought I had sorted all my major winter jobs on the boat, a lot has gone wrong this year. Last weekend while servicing the engine ready for launch we noticed that a small 5mm wide stainless steel band had come away from the sail-drive. It looked a weird set up with no way of reconnecting it...
I had had two previous SH plotters and my new boat came with a RM classic C80 which yesterday showed 2,051.00 mile travelled and then later in the day showed 6,000 and something travelled. So not at all reliable or accurate. I do not want to buy a new plotter and hoped something simple (cheap)...
My last three plotters recorded trip and log data but they where all inaccurate and seem to randomly jump from one figure to another, and the thru hull speed paddles fair no better. Is there a reasonably accurate stand alone automatic GPS device which can record trip and overall miles travelled...
