I have always simply booked the next flight at the travel agent a bit south from the Marina and never had a problem. Mind you I never tried to book a flight after noon on a Friday or Sunday! Really helpful people even organised the taxi to the airport. As long as its just a bit of crewing...
mooing
Easy to ensure safe mooring.
Step 1 make a larger moulding of the front half of the hull out of fibreglass
Step 2 grease the matching part of the hull with Simoniz GT Wax
Step 3 hold the part mould temporarily just surrounding the boat
Step 4 fill the gap between the hull and the part...
I am not of the opinion that subjecting liferafts to pressures 250% ABOVE burst pressure is a valid test. All it does is write off all rafts subject to that test. Note the test is above the design burst pressure - not the recommended maximum inflation pressure.
For the dive cylinders you...
Regretfully I have to cease sailing because of advancing arthritis (I'm no longer safe on board and - having inspected the surface of Fox's Marina from 5 metres below the surface I decided that was enough!).
Best wishes to the East Anglian Sailing Trust - may they keep on supporting blind and...
I remember a cat on Grafham Water went so fast that when he lost it he cartwheeled at least two times we were planing all out with just the genny on an enterprise as he went past us.
Good idea because with mine Zodiac issued an amended test procedure requiring the pressure relief valves to be strapped down and then the raft to be inflated to above burst pressure. Zodiac were successful in what I believe was a pre-planned process to remove a specific type of liferaft from...
I promised my new Horizon handheld to a guy I met at Foxes marina Ipswich. I Brought it down in my backpack but I slipped with the trolley and ended up on the bottom of the marina 5 metres down on my back with the trolley, a 25lb CQR and 30 metres of chain on my chest. I just made it to the...
Big mistake making the top rail look so good. It raises it to the eminently nickable variety! paint the under surface bits p-erfctly with several coats of a good gloss but don't forget to to daub rubbish paint very badly on top of the good paint on the bits that people can see!
Cheers
Why is there so much concern about this?
One simply leaves such details to one's man - who is required to hand over the correct solution at the time - and simply dismisses him if he has taken the wrong choice. In the event of a catastrophic event then his employment is automatically...
Elbow grease with fine abrasive paper will minimize the surface area exposed then pressure wash the hell out of it. Worked fine for me on the teak sllats of my 29 year old Gib'sea. It's also the cheapest solution!!
