Evening all, I spent a lovely evening in Newton Creek last night, I took advantage of of one of the white mooring buoys, but no one came to ask for fees. What to do? I would prefer to pay my way, don't like taking advantage. Gord

Sorry really basic question here, considering heading to a remote creek tomorrow evening. I have 2 batteries, normally berthed in a marina so have got used to endless shore power. Should I switch to just one battery, so the other is saved for starting the engine the next day? Thanks Gord

I used the jib as it is furling and I could raise it from the cockpit, whereas my main halyard is secured at the mast, so to raise the main I have to leave the cockpit, and on this first occasion I was trying to avoid leaving the cockpit as much as possible.

Again thanks for all the great advice :-) She is registered on SSR, I have flares (not my jeans, but do have those too), I have never put red diesel in her (can't say if previous owner did or not), re customs why would that bother me am not intending to smuggle or break any laws? Gord
