Yes, that looks like the Easyreef system although more detailed photos would be needed for me to be absolutely sure. In any case, Moonbeams tips are spot on for avoiding in-mast furling problems.
I have not been able to source a Easyreef manual or diagrams for maintenance, as they have been...
Yes, I'll try out with a short 200mm piece before laying out for the full length (probably 50m to replace the existing 50m).
Thanks again for good advice!
I want to replace my rusting 6mm anchor chain with 8mm. The windlass is an older Seawolf 520, for which it seems difficult to find a manual.
Anybody know if it will take 8mm chain?
I found this quite useful, if you want to put the system together yourself:

Otherwise, Selden is an option:

Another suggestion - hammer a piece of wood up the outlet and drill it out.
Haven't tried it and it's in Danish, but 0:45 to 2:00 looks worth trying.

I have the Easy Reef mast furler system on a 40 yr old boat I have bought recently. I can't find any presence of them on the web - does anyone know if they're still in business?
I would like to get hold of any manuals, diagrams, operating advice they may /might have had.
Thanks in advance.
Seems like the Navionics 'Denmark and Greenland' app with paid-for DK charts has been updated to the generic 'Boating Marine HD and Lakes'. After updating to new app, you can choose an area for download . So seems fine if you've already paid for the charts.
Well, perhaps a bit unfair to C-Map.
The report reads "skipper did not increase the magnification of the region that was indicated by chart bounds to have larger scale data".
More a planning error than the fault of the electronic charts. That, not checking the course with the paper charts, and...
Yes, it's a 609S (not 690S).
And Vic, Dylan's video (at about 6.00 in) does indeed show the correct way of assembling the coupling piece and base spar. Just as you said. The manual unfortunately does not make this clear at all. Thanks for the help - problem solved.
Aha! That's probably it - I'll try when I'm back at the boatyard tomorrow.
Thanks Vic!

OK - I get that too - only older users can post porn ....
Question relates to assembling the spar with the drum.
The manual says: " Insert a coupling sleeve into the base spar .... slide the base spar into the drum until the two holes are in line ..."
The diagram shows the base spar sliding right into the drum (no coupling sleeve exposed).
When I do...
