I have 2 dinghies - a flat bottom avon and a v shaped new honda airdeck. The 3.5 tohat I use, planes with one but not the other at full pelt with just myself aboard.
V is the way !
Met them in plymouth. They were blogging another lifestyle before.
Helped them out with cutting costs for marine branded products on the hard.....
Nice couple and they have gone far on limited experience.
Go guys !
I inherited 2x v9 in the boat. I had to swop them round as the cockpit unit shut down in the sun - in the UK !!
The 4G radar still works.
I would not buy them......there must be better out there.
I like the fernhurst cruising companion series. I have all for the south coast and brittany and they are very good. Robert Wilcox collated the ireland one.
PVC is not a great material for dinghys left in the sun. I know my old avon (20 years old) will easily outlast my 2 yr old honwave easily ! Hypalon is great - but expensive.
My last pvc lasted about 5 years without degrading.
My top can kept jamming up the mast, due to corrosion, and when i sold it - the sail would not drop at all. I also found setting the sail problematic with some angles of wind.

found this - search on ybw as well -
Any help please. I have TAB Sail Systems mainsail furling system which was retro fitted to the mast, replacing slab reefing, before I bought her. Has anyone any experience of this system with respect to how to change the furling line - it appears that there...
I had one of these on my last boat. I did find a doc online and printed it out - but it went with the boat. Have a good online search. I had some jamming issues - so dropping the system (its just like a jenny furler) and washing down and greasing helped a lot.
I only fuel up from a well used (mod plod and ferries) marina who also treat their fuel. I try to cycle through it but I don't do much motoring so I treat it again if loitering for too many months.. I did purchase an endoscope to have a good look into the tank as its very inaccessible. All...
I read that sika make 295uv for this application. Its exxy, as usual, and you need sika 209N to prep the surface first to do a proper job apparently.
Down to screwfix for my £8.99 Dow 791 then.......!
