I’m hearing horror stories regarding oil coolers. I’ve twin kamd44edc’s. I’m in the process of getting intercoolers cleaned and both oil coolers are getting replaced as there is signs of corrosion, as Bandit has mentioned. Expensive job but if the old ones fail it is curtains!

I have a pair of these in on 2003 beneteau Antares. I have been warned there is a chance of oil cooler failure causing oil to be pumped into the bilge with obvious effect on the engine. Has this been an issue anyone has encountered? Low hours on engines. Cheers. And happy new decade !

I have had a slight issue with heating on my kamd44’s. I know the original water strainers are not great so I want to replace them. What is the best strainer to go for, see through kid ,and can I get a cast one with bottom outlet for application of antifreeze without removing pipes etc. 1.5”...

I have a beneteau 1080 with steam at 3000 rpm. The temp is running 85-90'. I am told it is normal. Dropping back to low speed temp drops to 60'. I have had new impellers fitted over the winter. I'm on. Shafts with exhausts above the waterline when cruising.

Hello. I have a pair of kamd44 vp's in an Antares 1080. The guages for the temp show 85-90' when running st 3000 rpm the temp stays constant but I notice steam at the stern. Is this normal ? Many thanks, Derek
