Thanks captainboo, appears that I've got a 21 in your picture but the AIS is connected via two blue ended tee pieces. Looks like I might need a 21.
Totally guessing, that's why I'm trying to fined someone to take a look, happy to pay in bottles or green stuff
Many thanks Spirit there is one of these in the network, one of the end blue connectors is blanked off. There are also two blue ended tee pieces in the network.
I reseated all of the cables yesterday, maybe the fault is in the converter, or the way I have it wired
My Raymarine C95 no longer receives wind data, and I have to choose if I want depth or AIS displayed, and the auto autohelm doesn't behave. Tactics displays wind and depth, just not on the plotter.
Appears there is something wrong with my network.
The plotter says "the following devices are...
100w Ampair/Aquair wind/tow generator, typically 4amps at 6knots or 20mph, bearings replaced this year. Great piece oof kit to keep the batteries topped up.
All parts in excellent condition:
Generator 12v
Wind fan with 6 balanced blades and spare blade
Tow impellor with 30m tow line
Pulpit mount...
I've got Ampair/Aquair 100 tow generator, with the wind generator bits. Sure it's a bit of a faff to deploy, but once launched its great piece of kit, I tend to tow on 10m rope not 30m as recommended - less tangles. 4 amps all day long. I renewed the bearings this season
As I dont go offshore...
Checked all connections - were good. Disconnected AIS and it all worked, depth is displayed on plotter. Connected it all and lost depth again, scratched head.
Was told to set baud rate on the plotter to 38400, so thought I'd see what happens if set to 4800, and it all works again, plotter shows...
