can tell from a photo I have it's an RWO fitting, and the page refers to centaurs, griffons. Happily a fraction of the price of the alternative IYE stop.
Thats great, thanks for the contacts, very much appreciated. I think you are right about pinning in the middle of track, at least for now. I might have to rig something temporary as I'm moving the boat next thursday onwards if the weather is ok. I'll contact Caroline tomorrow and see if she...
Thanks
Looks like I need to add position stops, makes me wonder why they aren't already there when rest of the gear looks well maintained. It's not a very long traveller, so I guess it's not really going to make much difference really.
Thanks for the advice.
The traveller on the boat I've recently bought doesn't seem to have any means to lock it in position, although there are holes in the track to accept a pin of some sort I assume. Does anyone know how this is supposed to be set up? It all looks like the original parts, so I assume I'm missing...

Sounds like the safest, but perhaps not the most comfortable way of dealing with it is to do what you did, it's happened to everyone.
Having sailed with similar crew, and whatever the solution, I'd say it's pretty important to apologise, explain the problem and promptly reef or drop the the...

Looks like the Suzuki 2.5 for me. Had one before but foolishly sold it, long story. Worked well, although awkward to stow and like most things, needed to be warm before it would get going.
