Will do if i cant sort it . I think the carb is the problem as i have fuel in the tell tale water . I cant see it leaking from anywhere else so it has to be that . Ill put my muck- a -nick hat on tomorrow and get the spanners out . If you hear an explosion in Teddington late afternoon ............

    Canopy water proofing

Fantastic use of a brain though . It leaves a fair finish on wood also . Ive left a bit of oak out in the rain to see how long the finish lasts . Probably not an efficient use of rain but hey ho .

    Canopy water proofing

Anyone tried painting a very old tired canopy with a mix of mastic and white spirit to make it water resistant ? I heard about it so tested on an old bed sheet and the sample held water tight for an hour . Over four hours its leaked half the water .

    Wood primer for damp wood?

The paint will blister and hold little pockets of water in the blisters . Maybe use linseed oil ?

    Canopy material .

I fancy having a go at making a new canopy for my river cruiser . I have two that i can use as patterns but not sure where to source the canvass and window material . Any ideas ?
