Any recommendations for cut and polish?

I would look no further than Penton Hook and Tony Carlow of Hullgel.co.uk . Have used Tony for some years and found him simply the best. Having found Tony and would not trust my gel to anyone else. Great Guy.

    Bomar Riser Arm

Hi, good to be in company but I am sure all of us would just like to be able to find the part! The search was very helpful, thank you. Previously my searching was finding the US and Australia but I am somewhat reluctant to look at importing.

Lets get a few things straight

Big John, first sincere condolences and sadness for your loss. It has deeply disappointed me the number of people not taking this terrible virus seriously and not following guidance. Some, sadly just do not get social distancing, whether through selfishness or ignorance. Heard a lady only...

    R.I.P. Bosun

Boat One, our sincere condolences. Hopefully 17 years of happy memories and Bosun's passing whilst on the river are some comfort for you at what is unquestionably a sad time. As Chris d says it is like losing close family. Kind regards.

A serious question (with tongue firmly in cheek)

Yes, I do care what my licence fees is spent on. Yes I strongly feel that it should at least be spent on the rivers and preferably the non tidal Thames as that is where I sit and where I feel I am being charged an exorbitant licence fee for far less than I would like. But, I now live in the...

    Boxing Day 'Cruise'

Headed out again today. Great morning with sunshine and river as calm as a mill pond - quite magical, pity I forgot the camera! But, in over four hours saw only one other boat moving, a few on board boats moored up bank-side and in the marina. Happy New Year and to great boating through 2019!

    Boxing Day 'Cruise'

Headed out on Christmas Eve for a few hours around 13.00 and saw no one at all. Afternoon weather was rather pleasant as well. Thought it a great time to have headed out and will doubtless repeat in the coming days.

    Bray Lock - Overhanging trees

Very interesting. I broke my mast light there as well in the summer but fixed it myself. Clearly should have tried the EA! Have also had problems in the approaches to Boulters both sides of the lock but had despaired at the EA doing anything to cut back or enforce Maidenhead Council in...
