I am considering buying a houseboat based on a steel/iron Thames dumb barge. Can anyone tell me how I judge the condition of the hull or suggest a surveyor who may be able to help and should I be cocerned about the soundness of the hull. <hr width=100% size=1>

2 more Swing Keel----similar function to lift keel but pivots around a pin usually not as heavy. Stub keel----- As it implies very shallow but long keel usually to allow a swing keel to lift without encroaching on the cabin. <hr width=100% size=1>

Hi.Ive had a suzuki 2.2 for the last 4 years or so. First time starter,Light to carry and the cheapest outboard I could bye at the time(£255 from Barnet marine).Only minor problem I had was telltale stop working last year, poked a piece of wire through been fine since. <hr width=100% size=1>

Try Sadolin interior/exterior paint.I purchased a Bradwell 18 about 6 years ago, the interior had a mat finish paint that was flaking badly. I removed the loose stuff and painted over with Sadolin and it still looks go as new. <hr width=100% size=1>

I bought a 200i inflatable from Compass at last years boat show waited months for delivery but now I have it it seems to be good value. The chrome flaked from the bow handle/towing eye quite quickly but this seems to be the only fault. It goe's well with my 2.2 Suzuki and rows quite well.

Re: \"gap\" in the mast I made a delrin plug that was screwed into the gap but let the slides pass smoothly, The only problem comes when you need to reef as the plug has to be removed to free the slides. My solution now is to use a split pin and move the slides above this when I set out but...

Can anyone tell me how to get at the cooling water pump on a Suzuki 2.2 outboard. My out board is overheating, could be blockage, water slow to appear at telltale but I suspect it to be pump.

A simple question. When kept ashore is it best to keep my inflatable tender fully inflated, partly inflated or deflated. I will probably only use it at weekends.

I ordered a Compass inflatable at boat show company had problems with manufacture and have offered me an Arimar at same cost. Seems like a good deal but i am seaking views on Arimars. Does anyone have any opinions.
