Zipwake

I've got Zipwakes on a Merry Fisher 1095 - use it on auto all the time with no problems (yet) ... keeps the bow down so that the boat planes nice and flat without having to stand and peer over the bow. They seem to keep themselves clear of weed but are in stiff broom range from the swim platforms. I had the bottom cleaned by a diver last week who gave them an extra good clean-up. All happy so far - maybe mine were installed and set up correctly - I would definitely recommend them.

How long have you had them on ? How many hours per season do you do on the boat?

I only bought this boat in January (I think!) ... used probably 20/30 hours so far. I've found Zipwakes to be far better performers than my previous 5 motor boats with trim tabs, mainly I think because they're automatic.

very similar to the Volvo interceptors ones, hope they are more reliable
The motors are separate self contained units in the Zipwakes, unlike the VP ones which have a squidge of sealant to keep the water out. They are substantially heavier as well, so hopefully will survive a good few years?
