Need a new zip for our lazyjacks. UV has killed the old one.
Does anyone know of a source for a 3.2M open ended zipper with metal teeth ?
Searched on internet, ebay etc cannot find one that long.
We have a sailmakers sewing machine onboard so doing the work in not a problem, if only we can find a suitable zipper.

Thank You.

Most lazy bags (which is what I imagine you mean rather than lazyjacks which are strings) have the big plastic teeth zips. Most sailmakers carry them. Buy overlength and shorten to fit. Kayospruce and Hawke House sell them as well. Instructions at https://www.sailrite.com/PDF/Zippers.pdf

This is extremely useful to me, as I'm in the throes of working up to the construction of lazy bag, sprayhood, dodgers etc, for my boat.

The plastic sail zips last well in my experience. It's worth getting plastic sliders for zips that rarely move such as spray hoods. Suggest the metal slider for a sail cover.
