ZF Hurth gearbox filter - cross ref.

While sourcing two spare filters for my ZF Hurth 45A gearboxes I was puzzled to find these filters not as commonly available as other filters.

Used for several ZF gearboxes but still not easy. And some of those who offer them off their webshops have none in stock or ask for silly money to ship them out.

For anyone looking here is an identical part no. cross ref. (of course more engine makes use these gearboxes - guess who's private label is most expensive )

ZF 463772 (replacing 3312199031),
Mann and Hummel 6230152821,
Mercury Mercruiser 35815419,
Schupp SF HY90491,
Volvo Penta 3582069

Thanks a lot! Might get back to you at a later time, as of now I'm fortunate enough to have two options already.

A forumite has offered a pair not wanted since his boat was sold and French Marine have confirmed availability at a not too bad price.

As an aside the dimensions given
Height: 40mm
Outer dia: 58mm
Inner dia: 24mm

differ slightly from the OEM's I've removed:
Height: 41mm
Outer dia: 59.8mm
Inner dia: 22.7mm


Apparently size is not crucial as long as proper seals are used.
