Morning all,
I have a problem with my ZED inflatable. Born in the late 70's this inflatable is cream in colour with blue detailing. It has a wooden transom and will support a 15hp o/b. If I remember correctly it is about 3.4 metres long.
The problem is the transom is coming away from the main tubes. I have obtained some 'Polymarine' two part glue. It was great for patching a small hole but not so great for re-glueing the transom to the tubes. The boat is not hypalon I am sure but some other compound. She holds her pressure extremely well for days and so I believe she has some life left in her.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of fabric and these problems?
Looking forwrd to hearing from you.

Rema Tip Top SC 2000 might well do the job, we have used this product to stick just about anything to anything else.

Primarily a glue suitable for gluing rubber and conveyor belts; I stuck an engine together with stuff.

It is toxic so don't go splashing it around in confined spaces, I remember sticking some grip handles onto a rubber duck and they never ever came off, though I can't remember the brand or material., (CRAFT) Can't Remember A Frigging Thing.

You may be able to pick some up at your local tyre repair shop, they still use to patch tyres and tubes.

Easy to apply, just apply to both surfaces and let it dry, only takes minutes, then apply a second coat and leave till tacky then put the two together. Be very careful at this point, because as soon as the two surfaces contact each other it's an instant bond, no moving up or down a bit.

To re glue the tubes I would inflate them and do small sections about 6 inches at a time.

Hope this helps.

Avagoodweekend......
