zebra dolphins

Hi,
I have observed these beautiful animals on the Belgian/French border. I have seen dolphins a number of times during my 25 year sailing career, but never anything like this. What are they called? Am I correct that this is a rare species?

I think they are Striped Dolphins or stripey Dolphins.

Feeding dolphins ?

Has anyone had any success at feeding wild dolphins from their boat ? Is it worth packing a tin of pilchards or something for next time I see some ?

Here's some common dolphins which came to play with us last week.

the pod was about 12-15 in number and they played with us for about 20 minutes. Our haul in the Hebrides last week included two dolphin experiences, one Minke whale and two basking sharks - all at close quarters.

Certainly was, one of them was ignoring the Colregs, and possibly not keeping a good look out.
