Those were the Baileys, Maurice and Marilyn I think? Yes she was a nurse and administered rectal enemas using turtle blood which most probably kept them alive. After their ordeal they ran a used boat gear shop "Yot Grot" in Lymington. Just looked up the name of the book it's 117 Days Adrift - a terrific read IMO.That is one small boat.

I read the book; what an ordeal. I think the enemas administered by the wife (wasn't she a nurse?) helped them survive the lack of drinking water.
