Youtube: Alcohol at sea - yes or no?

Thank you for your vote of confidence. Just to explain that I don't spend all day searching for videos of drunken girls on You Tube; I noticed it listed in the side bar of videos when I was watching a video clip of self steering gear.

I'd better stop there or someone will think I am protesting too much.

Ha ha the guilty "irreversible" thread post; in hindsight you wish you had not posted :-))) Its all good fun, i enjoyed the video and take inspiration from my friend who met his current GF at age 30 when she was 18. That friend once told me about a 7 year rule so now I think he is a total hypocrite. :-))

No regrets at all :) I was just waiting for someone to ask why I had spotted it.

Its true that I have had time on my hands today to notice these things. I got up was promptly sick and then had diarrhoea so I have been in bed much of the day.

No problem - if you want a drink then have ONE or even more - you can always wind up like this....

:D had to be a raggie - didn't it?

Why do they need police protection?

Sadly, in some parts of the world a boat going aground is seen as "help yourself" time. I don't know where the boat in the video is, and my observation might not apply in that case.

The boat in the video is interesting as they seem to have destowed it of a LOT of gear and therfore might be 'abandoning' her. The boat is rocking in the waves, so is either a lifting keel version or its lost its keel. If the latter perhaps that might explain why they are destowing everything?

Perhaps they are lightening it prior to attempting to haul it off on the next tide (if there is one)

Don't worry about it being a raggie accused of a drunken error. There are plenty of MoBos do the same, but they are less likely to survive due to the speed of impact.

Thanks John, I should have thought of that considering the Napoli shipwreck was not a million miles from the front door.
