Due today is your Harry.. here in OZ for a couple of months holiday..only costing us about $1.5m ( shit why cannot he go to Scotland or Ireland.. fares must be cheaper)
Anyway ,we need some suggestions on how to make him happy for his stay and what do you reckon he would like to see.. So far we have him down for the Melbourne Cup, Irish footy( we will kill 'em ) Sniffy Bum contest ( no chance for the Poms)..... so suggestions please.

I've just heard this on the radio... as I i understand he wanted to go to Oz for the culture...

I would be very careful about "poms don't have a chance" with rugby... There is an event on the horizon which might make you very very sad...

'ere, just a minute.
She's your Queen,[for the present] so you should also have the advantages of entertaining "your" Royals. We Poms aren't selfish. I think that the whole family should be able to enjoy more holidays in Oz.

Re: My Harry

I reckon he only costs a few grand to entertain and the remaining 1.49 million is divvied out to all the chums of the government. We are so used to seeing huge figures quoted for everything that they think we don't bat an eye anymore. One example being £100m for refugee centre housing 400 people.

p.s. Do you have a relation, Simon, who used to crew on Etchells?

Re: My Harry

We have a son Simon who has sailed most things, don't remember him doing much Etchells sailing particularly. He's now in Oz, but not costing 1.5 million even with beer budget.

Re: My Harry

If he was in Industrial Product Design then that's him. Met him at the Etchells European Championship in Douarnenez (Sp?) a few years ago. I was there supporting RCYC. Just came across his business card as I was clearing out some old files.

He must have calmed down with his drinking then, coz him and his mate, Tom(?), were the only ones who could keep up with us.
