Enterprise dinghy - bought for £50 and sold a year later for £250!
Laser
Another Laser
Another Laser
Phantom
Another Phantom
Contender

Big gap....

Four Winn’s 225 - with a lovely V8 petrol inboard, but the hull was such a shallow V, that in a Solent chop you would lose your fillings over 8 knots!
Beneteau 411 - lovely yot, but it had to go after the firm I worked for went bust.

Now boatless.....

I have a lot of catching up to do (in terms of number of boats):

2015 - beneteau Antares 36
2016 - prestige 500
2020 - one of squadron 68, manhatten 68, pearl 62 or x70 (or anything else I see at Düsseldorf)

Fabulous jump from the hurricane to a T51!

Yep.
I spent the best part of 20 years driving RIBs (safety boats) at the sailing club.
We also had a couple of single shaft committee boats.
But nothing as big as the T51 and nothing with two shafts.
In fact, even having spent all my life on boats, I took a long time to get used to twin shafts.
We kept the T51 for three years and I still hadn't completely mastered it by the time the Princess came along.
That said, in the leisure world, I don't think we ever completely master things unless you spend a long time doing it.
I'm always more confident at the end of the season that the beginning.

Well if I had known that Pussers war canoes were in the mix I would have included:

HMS Bulwark - Commando Carrier (the old one - Rusty B)
HMS Cardiff - Type 42 destroyer (briefly)
HMS Newcastle - Type 42 destroyer - back to back S. Atlantic deployments ‘82 & ‘83 - first circumnavigation of South Georgia. Possibly deployed with you/Southampton one of those years?
HMS Redpole - N. Ireland patrol boat

Not included various seaboats including Whaler, Pacific 22, Gemini and Searider as well as various sailing dinghies (Bosuns, GP14, Scorpion) and Morocco/Spain on an unknown make Yacht from the RN sailing centre in Gib. Oh and Channel Island and France on a Nicholson 55 from Hornet in Gosport. More recently Redbay 11m Stormforce (outdrives), Redbay 12m Stormforce (Hamilton Jets) and Humber 6m RIB :) :) :)

Past tense for the T40 noted J! I hope she brings as much pleasure to the new owner as she did for you.
Wow, did I miss a "farewell T40" thread from JTB? And most importantly, what next?
With apologies for the o/t, but I find reports on boats build/search more interesting than history!
