You wait ages for a delivery. Then two come along at once. ?

About a month ago, I was contacted by an agent to take a motor boat (Princess 45) from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to La Linea. For onward shipping on a, well, ship. Ok. Let's go. So we sorted costs, fuel consumption, pit stops, yadda yadda. For interest that's 100 litres an hour at 20 knots so around 14 hours steaming between bunkers. Would mean two stops in Morocco. Bit kinda thoughtful about that. Not from covid directly, but I'm very familiar with Maroc beaurocracy and I had a not quite sure about it all thing.

However the shipping company are doing their normal messing about. So I start wondering if it's all worth it. Then joy. A good friend of mine has bought a Lagoon 42 lying near Barcelona. Deliver to Lanzarote. That's more like it. He is about to get his residency, my other crew and myself already got that. So with our letter of authorisation sorted plus some other paperwork, we are booked to fly to Barca on Monday. Spain to Spain, so legal. 31 euro flight!

Game on. Fly Monday. Sea trial Tuesday morning. Heavy lift victuals in the afternoon, get going on Wednesday. Owner a tad nervous so likely a couple of day sails to get into routine. Dunno if they will let us in anywhere, but hey, the boats got an anchor. The rest will figure itself out. Will be nice to be moving again, safely.

Is your Italian finally moving or did that all happen many months ago?
They've pit stopped here. Drove up to see them at Marina Arecife yesterday. Very wisely parked whilst some manky weather blows through.

Just back from Rubicon. It's very heavy airs. But there is an Olympic classes regatta going on with sailors from everywhere. Brave.

Yes we are waiting here until Thursday morning at the moment then head NE. And yes it is very windy here today so will take another few days to clear through.

Update if anyone is interested.

Dave got away Thursday morning. Looks like a bit of a beat up to the Straits. My guess is that they will be somewhere towards El Jadida and will get past Casablanca today. They don't have AIS. ?

We despatched our owner on Friday and he has conducted a successful test of the travel system. No problem, it's between Spanish regions and the authorities quite happy it's a genuine reason for travel.

Good sea trial yesterday and busy going through every locker etc. now.

Plane and Bus for us tomorrow. Gonna be odd to be travelling again.....

Yacht is Lagoon 42 'Tamsel' and does have AIS.

Drifting the thread a tad. Weird to be travelling by plane again. And it was full.

Now on a bus. Well coach. Again kinda surreal. Nice views of the sea though.

Under way and making way. Good to be at sea again. Slight problem with main track so cranking on to Valencia. Booked in tonight.
Have tried posting photos from my phone but rejected as too big.

On an android, open in gallery then edit (the pen thing) then save. Seems to reduce the file size even without doing an editing

Looks like the Good Captain is heading into La Playa for a spot lunch ? ? ?

This offshore sailing lark appears to be more civilised than I thought :)
