I am a great believer in watching and learning from you tube video's, as I soon embark on my complete interior refit. I'm confident on using GRP as I used to build Leisure 17's, but woodworking is my main interest, especially as I have some nice Teak to work with along with ply.
I try to find video's made by folk who speak calmly & clearly and explain carefully as to what they are doing.
HOWEVER, out there are some of the most hideous videos. One was where the guy was going to renovate his interior using white paint, but painting direct onto tired, chipped cabinets and we all know how terrible that can look when completed. He thought that was "renovating" the interior, and frankly, I just wanted to laugh.
Then their is the one who thinks it's great to play heavy American rock music from some shitty band from the 80's, whilst carrying out his work, as if very soon there is going to be a huge American wrestling match held inside his boat, and worse still is the one where they say, "Hi, I'm going to renovate this tired old interior" and the next thing you see is the finished article, without an explanation on how they did it.
There are some good ones out there, but if anybody can reccomend any good youtube clips on interior renovation on sub 30' foot boats, (preferably from gutting to finishing I'd be more than grateful to hear, as I do search hard, but there are some that are not good quality at all, and some that I wonder why they bothered.

Sail life has to be up there, the earlier Oblix restro but it was when he first started doing videos so not a huge amount on woodwork but it was all like for like of the old stuff.

Sailing Lealea's ongoing refit was my latest binge watch.

I quite like the Sail Life ones. Mads is in the middle of a 38 (so a bit bigger) but he is almost OCD about getting things correct.

Another good site on Youtube that is all about wood and boats is 'Tips from a Shipwright'. Although it is mainly directed at boatbuilding and repair I find that it gives a very good insight on how to go about things 'the proper way', including the benefit of tips from a true Craftsman of the old school.
