I realise that I am speculating here and also fueling my fathers perception of what i do at uni, but your my last hope.

Anyone know the creme de la creme cure for hangovers? My friend has tried everything......apart from not drinking.......thats just stupid!

A red eye (Beer and tomatoe juice) or beer and a raw egg followed by two paracetamol or beer, Dutch raw herring and onions and two paracetamol. Another paracetamol if it persists. One other way which I can garuantee, get pissed again quickly, it al least delays the hangover until later. Sleep! Glad to be of help to another sufferer, I temporarily die!

A hangover is what you get when you get up the following morning. It follows logically that you should simply NOT get up the following morning, but stay in bed as long as possible, so that at 7am the day after you can ring mum and dad if they've seen a book or whatever to keep up the impression of massive amounts of studying bening done.

Also, if they want to come round, make sure that you meet them in the place where they are going to buy you lunch, and ensure that someone else (carrying sme boks) meets you 2 hours later to guarantee that they will not see where you live nor any of your halfdressed deadhead mates.

There is only 1 cure

1) Wait till 10am
2) go to Mcdonalds & order a fresh Big Mac, it will settle you
faster than anything. cos its big, greasy and gets you blood sugar
back up again.

thats what i always used.

Thanks

Large dose of dioralyte or isostar or similar isotonic drink, preferably taken before going to sleep, with a slight overdose of paracetamol (3 tablets rather than two) taken in the morning works for me.

Remember to keep an eye on the total number of paracetamols taken in 24 hours.

If available pure oxygen works a treat and really gets the head cleared (it helps having a diving team store in the basement).

Find out which drinks give the biggest hangover and try to avoid, unfortunately this is similar to pulling the trigger in russian roulete to see if there's a bullet in the gun!

i seem to remember that a helping of terry wogan and alan's dog's bollox sausages sobered you up pretty quickly after mr pigshit made us cross the channel in a force 93 - and without a hangover !!

Waterskiing!!

Waterskiing!!

Yep, jumping into cold water and then being towed behind a boat really does sort out the hangover very quickly indeed.

Then its down to the yacht club for a few more beers.

Pint of water b4 bed

pint glass in morning (same one to save washing up) half water/half OJ, off to MCD's, full breakfast plus coffee and extra hash brown, works for me.

You should not be getting hangovers, I never had them till I was bout 28, not even after I got my uni results and spent my last 22 quid on 11 pints of stella, was found asleep in the garden following morning tho...

Pint of water b4 bed......

It's one of those - if you remember to drink it before bed you don't need it - if you need it you don't remember.....

on the principle one has not taken enough water on going to sleep (bed optional), recovery demands sips of water with 2 Over The Counter acid-suppressors - Tagamet/Pepcid/Axid keep that down for 40 mins (protects inflamed stomach lining) then take 2 Ibuprofen (Nurofen etc 400-600 mg total) plus more water. Can repeat latter at 4 and 8 hours if needed. Best for me.

Other suggestions of greasy food often lead to technicolour yawn.

Keep on drinking but carry with you, at all times, a Flicker & Firkin Pavement Pizza Bag.

Absolutely, tried and tested. Besides, ...

...that's the best way to give a slalom course a try at 41' off, without fearing to hit the boat when crossing...
