After watching some boats with pretty coloured sails go round in circles for a bit, we had lunch at the Folly. Plenty of free berths, no table reserved: service within 15 minutes: no problem.

Swmbo takes the helm for a gentle trundle up the river.

It's not exactly flat going back, but we can still do 20kts which is good enough to get back for Sundowners in the marina followed by a leisurely tea.

it's the start of cowes week and all that it entails, including yotty's have right of way everyway! and they are always the stand on vessel, and don't forget, We (motorboaters) always take THEIR wind.

and what really pisses me is, that at the end of the day all of us, yotty's and moboers are out there at playtime.

it's playtime for big kids that's all.

the fishermen and ferrymen are still out there in January -4, raining, blowing a 6/7 just to earn a wage.

Just a bit of trivia, the Sea Vixen is flown this year by Lt Cdr Matt Whitfield RN, a former Sea Harrier and current Hawk pilot.
