After reading the article about what happens when you unhitch the steering on a yacht (answer: can't steer) , I was struck by the choice of boat for the experiment. It's a Jeanneau Sun Fizz, which was also the choice of boat for the Crash Test articles. Makes me wonder if the guys at YM have something against these boats as they seem to abuse every one they get their mitts on.

Any other boats that drive forumites to destruction?

Perhaps they can get them cheaply or are trying to drive the price up as somebody has one for sale?

I was always eagle-eyed when it came to observation skills, and also noticed the yacht in the steering experiment, not by type, mind you, but by name - 'FIZZICAL'!

Aha! That rings a bell! Wasn't that the name of the boat from the Crash Test Series? They did make some attempts at hiding the name with black tape back in 2011, but FIZZICAL it was! So, rather than a vendetta against the Sun Fizz model, it was a judicious use of the one vessel for as many trials as the poor boat could stand up to, which in the event, turned out to be quite a few! So well done to 'the guys at YM', I say!

We looked at one for sale in the big mad boat hunt of 2010 - a heck of a lot of boat for the money but SWMBO said it was far too racy and the cost to update obsolete kit would have added 50% to the cost - but very nice boats.

Right you all are. I guess it was all done before they blew it up. Or they've put it back together again so that they can destroy it in increasingly bizarre ways... Now that's a vendetta!
