YM letter page, Radical Option

Ref above letter about a design for ideal charter boat design having covered cockpit,exterior galley and saloon,and chart table and fixed windscreen, does not the Dufour Atoll fit this?
I have not seen many around, did charter one some years ago,in Palma Majorca and found the layout very good but not so good to sail. Anybody else experienced these boats? Are there many around?

I did wonder about that. The guy was describing the Atol perfectly. I was expecting some editorial comment about this.

I did wonder if it was a poor attempt by Dufour to get some free advertising, but maybe thats just my suspicious little mind working overtime.

Aha! So that's what it is. I saw one of these in Almerimar a couple of weeks ago. Thought it looked truly horrible. The roof looks like an afterthought.

on the other hand i remember looking at the first ford sierra and thinking that the jelly-mould shape would never catch on, so even I am wrong sometimes /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Charter boats need to be reliable and out earning money. Are they not fitted with a Volvo Penta?
