Holly Bejasus!!!! Thank god, I've finally crossed that finishing line!

Good crack in the Chat area on SOL too.

Well done Al, Next race starts Next Saturday Morn 0900hrs I think.
In port race tomorrow night starts 1800hrs, who's idea to have it on a Saturday night. Have those Scandanavians not got a social life?

Well done for finishing!!

Obviously with all those dark nights there is nothing better for them to do.

Plus i will miss the start again! I am away that weekend. Argh! Not that it makes a huge difference what i do. I am still at the cows tail!

Only 55.9nm to go...

Re: Yippeee, I\'ve finished!!

I started this leg 8hrs after, most of the others, but that still doesn't explain why I finished over a week behind the leaders. I think my problem was purely, I'm a crap sailor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I will miss the start of tonights inshore race.

Roll on the next leg.

Cheers
Al.

Racing can be a bit like traffic lights Al If you just make it through the people behind get stuck. If you make it to a certain point before the wind changes it can gain you a huge advantage. This gets compounded each set of lights you just get through and the people behind get stuck. Having the advanced weather forecast and know what it's going do and where helps. I'm sure you'll do better next time. Also a lot of the competitors are using routing routing software. I prefer to know I'm doing it on my own. If I cock up only myself to blame.
