Much googling has not been able to help me, so here I am again.

I have decided I would like to install an Odyssey starting battery for my VP 2002, this one, http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/productprofile.asp?ProductGroupID=8557

I have room for it pretty adjacent to the two 110 ah leisure batteries. These make up a bank of of two separate batteries through a 1, 2, both and off switch. The cables joining these batteries is 25mml square. I know how to parallel these up and I will use 25mml cable to do so, but what of the starter battery.
I will only need a length of about 750 millimeters to connect it into the system via the 1,2 both switch.
The 25mml cable can handle 180 amps continuously and 405 in short bursts. I believe the 2002 draws a current of about 150 amps, but on initial start it may be more, this is what I can't find out.
So my question is will 25mml cable be okay to link this new battery into the system.

Cheers

I have that battery to start a Volvo2003 28HP engine (actually mine is a Red Flash 1100 that has exactly the same dimensions and spec) .It has done 8 seasons so far but is starting to loose charge slowly over the winter so I may replace it this year with the Odyssey you are having. When I bought mine the supplier said the Red Flash 1000 would do the job but I opted for the larger one.I use mine with a 1/2/both switch without a problem. The cabling is the same size as my domestic battery cabling.
I tried a VSR but it did not work as it kept switching in and out and the supplier Victron said it may be the disparity between the size of battery banks.
My domestics (2 no 110 A/H) are sealed marine standard batteries and my alternator management system (Sterling) is set to 14.4v output. It works fine.

Thanks to one and all.

Ditchcrawler..... Assuming you have 25mml square cable, your set up is exactly what I will have when the job is finished.
