Yet another weather website

Just tried it again and worked OK for me. I just highlighted the web address copied it then pasted it into the address field of my browser and in I went.

The weather for next week's do still doesn't look good as I think Ian Grant has found from another source. Still, there's 9 days for Ivan to come over and blow the French coastline a bit closer.

Lessons

Would someone mind taking the time to explain some of the different charts and what they mean, such as

ECMWF
GFS
UKMetO

and the others. Why are they different, is it just different prediction centres or is there something else?

Thank you in advance.

There are different "models" based on probability amongst other things that are used to predict (forecast) the weather. Whether systems are animated using comp programs using different factors/indices which create models which can then be applied to a weather system like hurrican Ivan for instance.
