Yet another vehicle carrier on fire

But they do seem to be in the news often for falling over/going all wobbly and getting all hot and smokey.

I've not seen any numbers, but on the face of it they have a poor record?

I have a friend who is the Commodore of the largest car carrier owning company (Leif Hoegh) so I may be a bit biased but :

There are PCC (pure car carrier) companies who move only new cars with never a scratch on the new paint with car decks like operating theatres. He was very quick to point out to his friends that the one that adopted an interesting angle at the Brambles Bank was under third party management.

There are companies who move secondhand cars and other vehicles

There are long haul roll on roll off freight companies such as Grimaldi, who recently lost a ship to a cargo fire. That could just as easily happen to one of ‘my’ boxboats’,

Anyone else notice that a sister ship was detained in Tacoma for fire safety violations? Another one from the same line with Highway in its name ran aground last year off Sweden. It seems that the company concerned has a poor record.
