This is my first post.. My Granddad made me promise to stick by the Aussie rules when posting… He said.
I will need an interpreter to understand some of the Scottish posts
Always pick on the Poms. .particularly when we thrash them at sport.
Pick on the Kiwis also, however if anyone else picks on them, we are to back them up (they need it)
I have never been sailing but hope to be on the water as soon as I get bigger. You see I was only born last night (Sat 10 July at 1822 OZ time) so I’m not yet one day old.
Would you like to join Granddad at the Club bar tonight to celebrate my arrival? You are all invited.

Nice one Brian, Have you received the honoury slippers and pipe yet? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Regards, Mike.

My Mum say's I'm not a fat b@st@rd, just heavy boned.

Wish I could join you in the bar, but I'll have one for you anyway. Just a pity I can't get VB here, so good old Tennents wil have to do.

Congratulations !

Dear Madeline

Welcome to the World little one!

Has your Grandad told you the facts of boating yet?

Rule 1. Sail is better.

Rule 2. More than one hull is unneccesary.

my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.

core! so yer gone an got yerself one of those ankle biters eh! very useful for reaching the part's the big'uns cant. congrats!!! mate!!

Wishbone
Rolling, rolling, rolling keep them doggies moving!
Where’s me chuck wagon gone?

Congratulations. I'll raise a glass to you all tonight (real time).

By the way, everyone should make the most of celebrating their rugby victories in the practise games, cause we start trying again when there's something to win. It just wouldn't have been British to let the Kiwis travel all this way, get a good white washing in the test series and go home without a little something!

God Bless.

Steve.

G'day Madeline,

I hope Mummy is fine, Daddy and Grandad will not be very well today, but they will get as the grog wears off.

Don't forget to tell Grandad that having to wear all that extra clothing in a typical Melbourne winter will stunt your growth and he should arrange for the whole family to relocate to Queensland. beautiful one day, perfect the next.

Oherr, that is when you learn to talk.... I suppose you could post your request here tho'

Congratulations to Mum first, then Dad, and sorry Brian, of course to you Brian.

Avagoodweekend..........

Re: Yet another newbie ( long)

You rotten lot of b><>><ds . As I was drinking your healthy and sharing your company at the bar, christening my new granddaughter yesterday, I reckoned you were a mighty bunch of ship mates. I was proud to be a member of this great site we all contribute to one way or another.. HOWEVER ><>>>< this morning I reckon you are a complete pack of bums as I have that headache oldsaltoz wished on me, partly because Jimi cannot get VB , so I thought it was my duty to drink as much of it as I could for him.

BrendanS.. I am a 5th generation Aussie.. both my great greats were sent out on convict ships, he for a minor crime of stealing a bath towel , but it was a trumped up charge as he was a stone mason and built most of the buildings ( some still standing) in Sydney and on Norfolk Island. She … well, she held some one up with a gun. .I am sure it wasn’t loaded, but she was sentenced to hang, later they decided to give her 7 years in OZ.. So yes we all are proudly “convicts”
Nick.. Do you read books to children today, or do they watch TV?
Oldsalt .. Once Madeline arrived I Adagoodweekend..........must agree Qld. is nice.. But I love Mel.
Julie.. Well she is a female (hell did I say that?)
Colin... thanks mate
Briani .. Of course everything said on the BB is a gentle “shot” not meant to upset anyone.. I reckon I get as good as I give
Steve.. So it’s your fault I am feeling “not well” today… A word of warning.. Don’t upset the Kiwis.. Sometimes we let them win, just to placate them
Wishbone.. sounds like you have some experience in that field !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian (Mitchell)... YM takes 3 months to get here (it’s sent by sea mail) but I will order my copy from the newsagent tomorrow... yes could be just the answer.
Hey check out 37*51.752’S x 145*00.474’ E.. That’s exactly where I am and I am surrounded by the greatest sporting nation in the world
Boatless .. Yep all that has been passed on.. (even though GDad sailed cats when he was young (er).. thanks Uncle John for the welcome
jmirvine.. As I said before.. It’s partly your fault I am feeling poorly b.,..,d
Mike.. Hey it’s too warm in OZ for slippers (plus I’m still too young)
Tome.. Thanks friend
MainlySteam .. Thanks John, appreciated the message.

It is a warm and wonderful feeling to hold a new born child, less than 24 hours old, in your arms for the first time. I just wonder what the world will offer her as she grows.
Again thanks to you all for the good wishes.
Brian
