Yes or No ?

It is interesting that many marinas and river / harbour authorities are interpreting the regulations towards the day sailing stance.
As i see it (biased of course) the coronavirus regulations state you can only leave or be outside of you home with reasonable excuse, to which some examples are listed
Now that boating has been listed as a permissible reason to leave or be outside your home then i see no reason to return home if i am still out boating.

So what is boating, Wikipedia extract "Boating is the leisurely activity of travelling by boat, or the recreational use of a boat "

C&RT are letting us out - at first very limited in scope .

Coronavirus and boating FAQs | Canal & River Trust

Staying on board overnight on the boat is prohibited = must return home for the night.

Those who chose to stay overnight on their boat may spoil it for those who chose to obey the advice in that the freedom given may be withdrawn if too many disobey.

Return to normal anticipated in June - which is not long to wait.

As live aboards in Cowes, marina/yard is operating but only day trips permitted no overnighters, but as all likely Solent destinations like Lymington, are closed to visitors, no point really other than dumping holding tanks.
