Yes bilge pumps again

Yes another new bilge pump today and this one does not work. 6 pumps in 4 months each one does not finction correctly. Auto float jams on. So flattens battery. Then they don’t prime. Sensor ones won’t shut off and one won’t detect water. 5 tested today and found working. At 11 pm I’m still trying to get one to work. No pressure if they do.

How utterly shambolic they seam to be. =£100 today and it can’t pump water out a contessa bilge even in to the cockpit.

Oh apparantly they don’t like dirty water now. Not any oily deposits. Please can someone just make a pump that actually functions as it should do

Must be buying rubbish ! Had 2 Rule pumps in my bilge for 20 years and pump out everything. Stay away from the automatic ones and use the good old fashion float switch.

just two of my little collection. The red bugger was £100. Won’t pump a meter and can’t cope with any dirt whatsoever can’t detect to turn on and then won’t turn off. Both bench tested and work fine.
