Private club

Now you have joined the YBW private club. It is imperative as a member that you scan all the posts made to the site looking for references to catamarans and join in singing their virtues to the unwashed! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The other job you have, which is most important, whenever you see a post along the lines 'Which boat shall I buy', you must immediately jump in and suggest a catamaran, even it is not even remotely along the lines the originator was looking for.

Really pretty boat BTW, you will never go back! I am looking forward now to try and detect any differences in approach of your boat tests in YM.

You kept your secret well - for a wee while! I'm remembering that great grin when you told me you'd just put in a bid for her, at your stand on Preview Day. So, like at t'others, congrats and best wishes.

Another post reminds me of sitting in Robin Sjoberg's cubbyhole in RYA House, one Monday morning, when Bill Anderson breezed in. Not noticing a visitor, he launched into a tale of spending the weekend - his first - on 'Full Pelt', a full-on racing multi-machine. He looked like he'd been pulled through a hedge backwards, not his usual soigne self, but he just couldn't contain his bubbling enthusiasm.

The Race Committee of MOCRA, the multi mob, were fascinated to hear of this 'Damascene Conversion' of an arch-opponent of multis.

Boat tests: sample text

I have copied this from a recent email to YM sub-editors:

'Please inset new paragraoh into standard boat test text no3;
"The Monolith 35 was [unusually...extremely...excessively] tender and [desperately..boringly...b*lls achingly] slow on all points. The accommodation suffered from a claustrophobic lack of space in all departments although headroom in the saloon and heads was quite good. She was also unacceptably heavy and would cost a fortune in deep water mooring fees."
Suitable adjectives will be emailed as appropriate before publication. Many thanks'

One can't advertise on this board so all I can say is that Sweet Lucy will be staying in the water this winter at Plymouth Yacht Haven so she can be sailed when required and lifted out quickly should there be a need to do a survey.

Congratulations ! Although I'm not sure another convert to the incorrect number of hulls should be congratulated /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Good thing someone posted a picture of her - when I first visited the Dazcat site I clicked on the picture of the 10T - now that _would_ have proven madness !

Re: before you sell...

I trust you'll reveal the outcome of your anti-fouling test that you were running on Sweet Lucy before she disappears? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
