Perhaps thats because us load of free loaders on this free forum actually are of limited if not zero value to IPC. Possibly?

Mind you many other publishers actively court their freeloading online community. IPC seem to treat us a bit like the shops that give you bin bag to put the products you bought from them in. Just like they charge more for the online versions of their publications, they really do think we are stupid.

Dear me! I only started this because I thought I'd noticed a bit of pathetically-weak journalism, and, when I voiced that view on a spot presented as a chance to respond, found my reasonable remarks were declined a space at the foot of the article.

Since no-one else had (nor has yet) commented on the story, my remarks can hardly have been lost in the flood of responses. But...

I am not suggesting dirt cheap, most of the stuff I download costs significantly less than hard copy because the costs of production, distribution and retailing are significantly less and most others pass some of those savings on to the customer. Had your pricing been attractive I may have subscribed when I left the UK.
