Well, I am excited that hlb has another order placed for these burgees, but now what will happen when so many more will be on the water, you might end up seeing one, then what will you do!?

cast your vote...

It's a no-brainer - I'll have the kettle on right away, but I could be tempted if the other boat prefers something a little stronger & is prepared to open their fun box - only to be sociable of course. :D:D

No brainer.... its always my objective to gain entry to any drinks cabinet including mine.

Ahhhh, a "kindred spirit"!!:D But I have slight problem.... I don't know what a "YBW Burgee" looks like!! And I'd also like to know how to go about getting one on order......if that's possible!! (I did find the post regarding that...and I included my request..)

I can say with certainty that if I knew what it looked like and I saw one around where I live...I would certainly invite that person for a libation of their choice!

If you look back at the other Burgee threads recently, and see an embroided image of a mouse drinking from a martini/cocktail glass on a light blue background.....you've seen it.

The poster HLB deals with them, so send him a PM (you contact him) to get the address to send a large (A4) envelope, with your own postal address (SAE) written on the front, inside another envelope addressed to him (HLB).

As you are living in another country (as am I) besides the 14 pounds sterling for the burgee, include another 6 pounds extra (suggested) for postage and handling, as I have just done, included inside the envelope.

Well it has to be option four hasn't it. Stands to reason. It can't be option five as my drinks cooler bag is usually woefully depleted an hour or so after arrival.

I find it unseemly to be fighting fellow forumites over the last can and some of them tweak nipples.

Therefore the best option is to sniff out a well stocked fridge that happens to be flying the burgee.

I have invited well stocked fridges into our marina via this forum, but they immediately smell a rat.

Cor, if this is the confusion over a simple burgee, god knows what you lot would be like discussing its seniortiy, and where to fly it in relation to your club burgee.
Never mind ensign etiquette...:D

....and we all know how that usually ends up ;)

Yeh, loads of old rollocks spoken an typed.
Always some old f%rt/expert who would typically bore One at the Bar etc

However, did yer know?

The Burgee should be sized at 1/2 an inch of fly for each foot of the height of the waterline or 1/2 the size of the National ensign dislayed.
Courtesey flags flown in foreign waters (Anglesey an Tasmania)are the same size as the Burgee 1/2 the size of the National Ensign.
Signal flags--- those used in visual communication.
Under the International Code of Ensigns--- should be as large as can be stored/managed.

There's more.

But you lucky lucky people

Done a lot of walkin today an me knuckles are sore:D
