YB Tracking

The saily boat guys use them the most for Trans-at, ARC, liveaboards doing circumnavigations ect so maybe pop a question on Scuttlebut ? You are more lightly to find someone there that uses one than here.

I can’t remember if it was Alex Thomson I was following or a couple of boats that I know doing the Fastnet but the system worked really well and the pricing is very clear and reasonable.

IIRC you get one when doing the ARC series and they are used in the Fastnet races as mentioned above and the Vendee Globe ect, they are mainly used to track boats in real time as opposed to anything like a plb or EPIRB. The ones the op is referring too are Yellow Brick trackers so maybe put "Yellow Brick" into the forums search field and see if that brings anything up. The guys in Scuttlebut would know more about them. Good bit of kit for not a great deal of money (impo)

Did briefly
But being thick and the attention span of a goldfish
Thought I would ask you!

Sorry Kwak

Realistically I only know what I posted but could add that the RORC make trackers mandatory and choosing this company is a great recommendation.

I also like the fact that they are UK (Hamble) based.

They are like an iridium phone but transmit your location over the satellite network as often as you like through your subscription. You can also send and receive emails and sms over it. Good for Grib files mid ocean. I don't see the need for one on 99.9% of boats on this mobo forum.
