The Wight Scene usually the cowes / gun wharf quays trip boat? is docked at the Yarmouth roro ferry terminal. Isn't this unusual?

I'm disappointed in the naming policy for the ferries: when the new vessels were commissioned for Lym/Yar I never did hear back on my suggestions:

Wight Light

Wight Heat

(I was a bit of a Velvet Underground enthusiast, back in the day)

and, of course,

All Wight on the Night

Was it at the RORO terminal or on the quay?

RORO Terminal - most odd.

Quay - not so odd.

This is the most exciting thing to happen in Yarmouth for a while, that's why I like it so much.

I'm pretty sure it was the roro. We were on the alongside walkashore. Admittedly we were on our second G&T but we could see it clearly

Not that unusual for Solent & Wightline Cruises to plug the gap for Wightlink when they are really short of their own ferries, but that is usually on the Portsmouth Ryde fastcat route. The recent engine room fire in Yarmouth resulted in just that situation, but they must have been really pushed to replace a vehicle ferry with a passenger only ferry. Cars would have been diverted to Fishbourne.
