Yarmouth 23 - fitting new engine feet

the studs in the foot unscrew, so no need to lift at all

Many thanks for your kind advice, but the studs are quite difficult to unscrew even when the feet are new (I have tried).
However, mine looked like this:

As can also be seen in this photo the aft brackets on my engine are not the standard ones. This is why I had to lift my engine a bit, as I otherwise hadn't been able to get the bolts out if I had tried to unscrew the brackets from the engine block.
There is a good reason for most things:).

Edit: To the OP and others who might be interested.
The engine feet used by Beta for the smaller engines are to my knowledge Trelleborg Novibra RAEM60E. A source for these in the UK is

Regarding the Oysterman, yes some had steel punching on top of the lead ballast, nothing wrong with that, it was quite common, don't know if Curlew, the one in Argyle has, yes it was mine, I did a huge amount of work on it then stupidity sold her to Andrew, have regretted it ever since. In Andrews ownership she has a new engine amongst other items. If you want further information pm me and I will give you his number.
