YAPP NMEA-0183 Multiplexer and rate changer - maybe the final one

I'd like one please Angus......

Ok johnww and GraemeS. Names down on the list.

There is one left. ITead (the PCB supplier) actually sent 11 rather than 10; I presume they had a bit of unused space. Seeing that IPC have compromised today allowing my continuing posting about YAPPs I think that to keep to the spirit of it not being a business I should limit this YAPP to the one batch only and say that there will not be any more.

Angus - 1 lot of board and bits (no box) for me too please - no rush. Andrew
(I gather the decision has been reversed - I was about to voice my displeasure - fat lot of good that mine alone would have done)

I've now had a chance to scan the "save the YAPP" thread. Firstly thanks/congratulations to Nigel for starting the campaign - and good to see a timely and appropriate response from PBO - congratulations to you too.
Angus and his YAPPs are the main reason I subscribe to this forum and I would definitely have walked on this issue. But let's think a little broader. Angus is not profiting from this and is potentially out of pocket due to delayed or missing payments (or under pricing).
Can we collectively think of a better way to use and reward Angus' talents, skills and "sense of community" so that he is not put through this ever again?

I'm not out of pocket by any significant amount. It mostly breaks even. The crew watcher cost quite a bit to develop in YAPP terms, partly because I cocked up the PCB 3 times and then the 3D printing to boot! Only 2 people have received something but never made a contribution, so that problem has mostly gone. Two have been lost in the post, both times on their way to Glasgow - I use the cheapest uninsured method. My old Dad of 86 who does some of the packing when I am away sometimes sends the wrong thing to the wrong person and someone in Bavaria gets a surprise parcel containing a bag of Werther's toffees and his false teeth, but I claim compensation from his pension. :) There will probably be a hiatus after this one, because the crew watcher took an inordinate amount of time to develop for a fun project, and summer's coming anyway.
