As all mobile phones and several other devices can be charged by usb.
I have stripped down a12v car usb charger/adapter, added a fuse and on off switch connected to the boat supply, and mounted it in a wall mounted box by the chart table.

It's pretty simple to get one of these and drill a convenient hole to flush mount it:

Thanks for that I think I will give this a try. Mixed reviews about half and half although Amazon is fairly safe to deal with.
