I am down in Mexico where Yanmar parts are hard to find. There's a dealer in Mazatlan but he wont answer my emails.

I need some replacement oil / water seals for the propshaft .... part numbers 196313-02590 and the 'o' rings 24321-000950. I suspect these might be industry standard.

Please advise me of the spec for these, and perhaps recommend a supplier.

Sorry, can't help with an equivalent. No doubt it is a standard part but the part number you quote is a Yanmar number. Does yours have that marked on the seal or is it from the manual? Sometimes the seal will be marked up differently.

As for a supplier, I found marine power to be very helpful, they do mail order.

Many thanks.

I haven't taken the seal out yet. I only plan the haul the boat out once I have all the materials ready to do the various jobs. Being down at 24 deg means that we have a sailing season 12 months long.
