yanmar paint

Is it possible to buy paint in the yanmar grey online anywhere? Can't find it. Failing that - has anyone used something similar that gives a good colour match?

French Marine (the Yanmar dealer)sell it.
You will need a mattress behind you when they tell you the price though.

You can get the colour matched at any car paint suppliers

but one can is enough to do one whole engine and gearbox or touching up for the engines life, if the gas in the can holds up

I bought an aerosol from 'Marine Power'. After removing any rust and killing whats left I gave mine 4 or 5 coats of aluminium paint followed by a breeze over with the aerosol. No need to mask anything off for that 'as new' appearance where evrything is spayed including the fan belt /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

If you're not too precious about colour match silver smoothrite is cheap and does the job.

I would agree, why bother with matching paint? as long as its protected.
