Yanmar or Volvo

I am thinking of re-fitting my old and negleted but rather lovely Ohlson 35. I would like a new diesel in the 30hp range, 3 cylinders and realiable. Reading between the lines most posts seem to think Yanmar is the right way to go. Any help appreciated......

Yanmar seems to be std equipment on more and more new boats.

Volvo is often married to a sail drive which requires expensive seal repalcements every 7 (?) years.

Volvo also has a reputation for expensive spares.
