The injectors on our 4JH3 Yanmar are (over)due for a service.
I'm ok to remove/refit but need a recomendation of a company who can do the spray check/clean injector service.
Any suggextions?

Many thanks
Mitch

I've had good service from Colchester Fuel Injection Colchester Fuel Injection | Diesel Fuel Injection Specialist . Apologies for any teaching to suck eggs but the professionals number and label each injector on removal so that they go back in the same cylinder. I'm not sure how critical this is, nobody seems to do it for spark plugs on a petrol engine. Does anyone know the reason?

On modern common rail the injectors are flow checked & offset coded at manufacture .The ECu knows this offset & adjusts injection timing to hit the emission targets.
For my old school mechanical injection, not so critical but they will be numbered upon removal.

I'll give Colchester Fuel a ring on Monday.
Thanks

+1. very helpful guys and explained things patiently to this numpty

Just had four injectors from a HASTE 240hp engine checked.
Dead easy to remove just 2 x 10mm nuts holding them in.
All pressure checked while waited and watched, all declared knackered and advised the cost of repair might not be worth it.

Bought 4 brand new units off ebay at a tiny fraction of Yanmar RRP.
Simple to refit, bleed , turn key and go.
