As promised in the thread on the Speadseal here is the photo showing how awkward it is to get at the raw water pump on certain Yanmar engines. This is an 88 horse power engine dating from 1988, and there is little more than 4 inches between the pump cover and the back of the starter motor.

I have taken a small bearing puller and modified it for use in the confined space, with the addition of a free floating steel strap with a screw to force the points of the puller in to the rubber of the impeller.
